Teacher Responsibilities . . .

• Provide an environment which fosters a love of learning
• Prepare for and provide at least thirty private lessons during the school year and ten private lessons during the summer
• Use teaching aids and methods that make learning interesting and stimulating
• Keep records detailing the accomplishments and responsibilities of the student each week
• Maintain an accountable record of all payments and debits
• Prepare a detailed calendar of lessons and events every semester
• Communicate with students during the week through the student notebook
• Communicate with parents through email, phone, and website
• Provide a Studio Class once a month (August through May) to provide students with an opportunity to perform in front of their peers
• Plan recitals each fall and spring which celebrate student abilities and accomplishments
• Plan Piano Camp each summer to enhance music theory understanding, ensemble skills, and performance fluency
